ExcellENT is a charity promoting first-class education for health professionals, and investing in innovative research and global health. We develop free educational resources such as ENTSHO.com as well as publishing books, running courses and providing a global health educational programme. Our goal is to support education and innovation in ENT, to the benefit of the general public.

AN EXCELLENT STORY
It started with a simple idea – to create a no-nonsense online resource for ENT, aimed at on-call doctors and first responders. What became ENTSHO.com grew into a collaboration with dozens of contributors and partners. As our activities expanded, we decided to organise our activities into a charitable trust.
ExcellENT’s education portfolio now boasts two websites, five professional development courses, an app, a book and a prize. In 2019, we set up our Global Health Education Programme and welcomed two outstanding doctors from partner institutions in Tanzania and Ghana. In 2021, we established an annual pump-priming research grant to help clinician researchers to get their projects off the ground. Most recently in 2023, we established a Global Health Education Programme Teaching Fellowship to support our global health efforts.
